Aloïs Marignane
Originally from Provence, Aloïs Marignane is currently based in Tours. In his studio, just a stone’s throw away from Place Plumereau, Aloïs often paints cities, capturing their midday atmosphere, with inhabitants strolling along canals, through squares, gardens, and intersections. One can find a touch of Pagnol’s sunlight, sometimes a form of minimalism, or, conversely, an infinity of details, and above all, an abundance of colors. He primarily uses extra-fine gouache, whether French or Japanese, on thick and carefully chosen 100% cotton paper to ensure the longevity of his creations.
